Standard of industrial grade nickel sulfate

The standard of industrial grade nickel sulfate is mainly based on HG/T 2824-2022 Industrial Nickel Sulfate:

Scope of application

It is applicable to industrial nickel sulfate, which is mainly used in the production of electroplating industry, catalyst for hydrogenation of oil and grease, catalyst for pharmaceutical industry, mordant for reducing dyes, metal colorant and other industrial nickel salts.

Classification

Industrial nickel sulfate is divided into nickel sulfate monohydrate and nickel sulfate hexahydrate.

Technical requirements

Main content: The nickel content of nickel sulfate monohydrate and nickel sulfate hexahydrate have different specifications, such as the nickel content of nickel sulfate hexahydrate has ≥22.5%, ≥22.0%, ≥20.5% and other specifications.

Impurity content: there are strict restrictions on the content of impurities such as iron, zinc, copper, cadmium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, cobalt and so on.

Appearance: Nickel sulfate monohydrate is white crystal or powder, nickel sulfate hexahydrate is green crystal.

Test method

The standard specifies the determination methods of nickel content and impurity content, such as nickel content by titration or spectrophotometry.

Inspection rules

Factory inspection: each batch of products need to be tested for nickel content, appearance, etc.

Type inspection: regularly or in the raw materials, process changes, test all items.

Signs, labels, packaging, transportation and storage

Marking and labeling: product name, specification, net weight, batch number, production date, implementation standards, etc. should be indicated.

Packing: Packed in woven bags or drums lined with polyethylene plastic bags, sealed against moisture.

Transportation: Prevent from rain, moisture and package breakage.

Storage: Store in ventilated and dry warehouse, prevent from moisture.
