Hu Rongbo, deputy director of the Mineral Room of the Information Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources, reported at the relevant meeting that China has made significant progress in lithium ore search in a number of metallogenic belts, such as western Sichuan, Kunlun, Arjin, Mafushan and the Himalaya. In particular, since May 2021, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, has successfully explored a number of large and super-large scale lithium deposits, with new lithium resources of up to 9.2 million tons. In addition, the China Geological Survey has also made important discoveries in the Huangbai Mountain area in Pingjiang County, North Hunan Province, on the southwestern edge of the Shufushan Mountain in central China, which is expected to become a large-scale lithium resource base in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. And in Sichuan Yajiang, recently explored the scale of lithium resources of nearly one million tons, is the scale of pegmatite-type monolithic lithium ore found so far in Asia, this discovery is undoubtedly for China's lithium resources to increase reserves and lithium new energy industry development has injected a new impetus.
