According to the information revealed at the “2024 China Lithium Conference - The Second Lithium New Energy Development Conference” on July 17, Zhang Shenfeng, former vice president of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, reported that China's lithium resources supply security rate in 2023 significantly increased to 42%, compared with 2012, this ratio has risen sharply by 27 percentage points, showing a significant increase in the self-sufficiency of domestic lithium resources.

At the same time, Minmetals Securities Energy Metals Chief Analyst Zhang Skai delivered a keynote speech at the meeting, he emphasized that the future growth rate of lithium carbonate demand will be affected by the common influence of three key factors: one is the European and American market automotive field of oil and electricity to promote the trend of the same price, the second is the energy storage technology to achieve economic breakthroughs, and the third is the battery technology continues to progress. These three factors will jointly shape the future demand pattern of lithium carbonate market.
