What is the difference in difficulty and procedure in the preparation of battery grade lithium carbo

What is the difference in difficulty and procedure in the preparation of battery grade lithium carbonate and industrial grade lithium carbonate?

Lithium is an important lithium compound, battery grade lithium carbonate and industrial grade lithium carbonate these two chemical composition is basically the same, are Li2CO3. they are differentiated by the purity of the content, the purity of the Li2CO3 content of industrial grade lithium carbonate is less than 99.5%, and the content of the battery grade is 99.5%-99.9%.

The key steps in the preparation of battery grade lithium carbonate include:
1 Ore beneficiation: separation of lithium-bearing minerals from lithium-bearing ores. Beneficiation methods include re-election, flotation, magnetic separation and so on.
2 Sintering: the selected ore is heated at high temperature to make it undergo a chemical reaction, which converts the lithium in the ore into lithium carbonate.
3 Leaching: The lithium in the ore is leached out with a chemical solvent to obtain a crude solution.
4 Purification: By removing impurities and purifying, the lithium carbonate in the crude solution is purified to battery grade standard.
5 Crystallisation: By controlling the temperature, pressure and other conditions, the lithium carbonate is crystallised in the solution.
6 Drying: the crystallised lithium carbonate is dried to remove the water and obtain battery-grade lithium carbonate products.

The key steps in the preparation of industrial grade lithium carbonate include:
1 Mining: select lithium-containing minerals and extract them from the ground.
2 Beneficiation: Separate the lithium-containing minerals through re-election, flotation, magnetic separation and other technologies.
3 Roasting: The selected ore is roasted at high temperature to convert the lithium compounds into lithium carbonate.
4 Leaching: The lithium in the roasted ore is leached out with a chemical solvent to obtain a crude solution.
5Demixing: Remove the impurities in the crude solution by chemical or physical methods to improve the purity of the product.
6 Crystallisation: By controlling the temperature, pressure and other conditions, lithium carbonate is crystallised and precipitated in the solution.
7 Drying: dry the crystallised lithium carbonate, remove the water in it, and get the industrial grade lithium carbonate product.
