Precautions for the use of lithium carbonate
Precautions for the use of lithium carbonate:
Lithium carbonate is an important lithium salt, which has high energy density and good heat resistance in the field of battery energy storage, so it has received more and more attention in the field of battery energy storage.
Lithium carbonate also has many uses in life, but lithium carbonate needs to pay attention to some issues when using.
1.Overview of the dangers:
Health Hazard: After accidental poisoning, it mainly affects the gastrointestinal tract, heart, kidneys and nervous system. Poisoning manifestations include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, visual impairment, lip and limb tremor, convulsions and coma.
Environmental Hazard: It may be hazardous to the environment and can cause pollution to water bodies.
Ignition hazard: The product is non-flammable.
2.First aid measures:
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and flush with plenty of running water.
EYE CONTACT: Lift eyelids and flush with running water or saline. Seek medical attention.
INHALATION: Remove quickly from scene to fresh air. Keep airway open. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. If breathing stops, administer artificial respiration immediately. Seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Drink sufficient warm water, induce vomiting. Lavage the stomach and induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.
3.Fire Fighting Measures:
Hazardous properties: Cannot burn itself. Decomposes by high heat and releases toxic gases.
Harmful combustion products: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.
Extinguishing methods: Firefighters must wear full body fireproof and anti-gas suits and extinguish the fire upwind. When extinguishing the fire, move the container as far as possible from the fire to an open place. Then select the appropriate extinguishing agent to extinguish the fire according to the cause of the fire.
4.Emergency response to leakage:
Emergency Response: Isolate the leaking contaminated area and restrict access. It is recommended that emergency response personnel wear dust masks and general operating overalls. Do not contact the leak directly.
Small amount of leakage: Avoid raising dust, sweep up carefully and collect in dry, clean and covered containers.
Large spillage: Collect and recycle or transport to waste disposal site for disposal.
