Recently, the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Natural Resources issued the "Jiangxi Province Unutilized Mineral Resources Reserve Work Program" (hereinafter referred to as the "Program"), aiming to further enhance the level of mineral resources asset management, and to strengthen the ability to ensure the elements of mineral resources.
The unutilized mineral resources referred to in the Program mainly refer to mineral resources in Jiangxi Province for which mining rights have not yet been set up, including blocks with surface reserves that have not been utilized, financially-funded exploration blocks, mineral resource blocks overridden by construction project sites, as well as lost and cancelled mining rights.
In order to understand the quantity, quality, structure and spatial distribution of unutilized mineral resources and other basic data and their changes, Jiangxi Province will implement the information management and sharing of basic data on mineral resources. At the same time, the data module of the unutilized mineral resources reserve project will be set up and dynamic management will be implemented in order to establish a forecast and early warning system for the security of mineral resources supply and ensure the security of mineral resources.
On this basis, Jiangxi Province will be selected with reserve potential and the need for mineral resources projects, and unified into the provincial mineral resources reserve project library for management. For the conditions are ripe for part of the library project, will draw up the annual empowerment plan, through spatial planning, land use indicators, high value utilization of mineral products and other empowerment, the formation of "asset package". In addition, Jiangxi Province will also explore the "asset package" combination of supply modes, in order to fully tap and play the value of unutilized mineral resources.
The introduction of this new program will help Jiangxi Province to better manage and utilize unutilized mineral resources and promote the sustainable development of mineral resources.
