Specialized Promotion Conference on New Energy-Lithium Industry Held in Nanjing

Jointly organized by the Investment Promotion Bureau of Tibet Autonomous Region, the Department of Economy and Informatization of Tibet-Qingdao Industrial Park and the 10th batch of Jiangsu Provincial Aid Task Force for Tibet, the New Energy and Lithium Industry Promotion Conference of the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region was held in the famous historical and cultural city of Nanjing. The promotion meeting attracted more than 80 representatives of enterprises with great influence in the field of new energy and lithium industry in the country, and 7 projects were signed on the spot, with a total investment of up to 4.2 billion yuan.

Tibet-Qinghai Industrial Park is an important project jointly built by Tibet and Qinghai provinces and regions, and has received strong support from the five, six and seven Tibet Work Symposiums. Located in Golmud City, Qinghai Province, the park is mainly managed by Tibet, and is a pioneer demonstration area for the two provinces and regions to jointly explore the path of high-quality development of plateau economy.

The promotion conference aims to actively promote the healthy and orderly development of new energy and lithium industry in Tibet Autonomous Region, and transform the rich salt lake resource advantages of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau into industrial and economic advantages. Through in-depth exchanges and discussions, domestic experts, professors and entrepreneurs shared the development trend of new energy, the technological innovation of lithium industry as well as the changes and prospects of new energy materials.

It is worth mentioning that China's lithium resources in the salt lake are mainly concentrated in Tibet and Qinghai provinces and regions, of which Tibet's lithium resources in the salt lake retained reserves occupy more than 50% of the country's total reserves. It is expected that by 2025, Tibet's lithium carbonate production capacity will reach 70,000 tons, and by 2030 it is expected to increase to 270,000 tons. The promotion will not only inject new vitality into the development of new energy and lithium industry in Tibet, but also provide valuable cooperation opportunities for domestic and foreign enterprises.
